Dr Melvin Look
MBBS, FRCS (Edinburgh), FRCS (Glasgow) 

(Special Interest: Endoscopy, Gastrointestinal, Laparoscopic & Obesity Surgery)

Dr Look underwent further training at the National Cancer Center Hospital in Tokyo on a Ministry of Health Fellowship in Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Surgery. He also worked for a year in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, UK, as an Honorary Consultant in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. Other training awards include a TTSH Scholarship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at the Mt Sinai Medical Centre, New York, and an International Cancer Fellowship from the Union Internationale Contre le Cancer for the Treatment of Peritoneal Cancer at the Washington Cancer Institute, Washington DC. He performs a wide repertoire of minimally invasive surgery and was the first surgeon in Southeast Asia to perform a number of advanced laparoscopic operations; including Hand-assisted Laparoscopic Surgery, Endoscopic Thyroid Surgery, and Swedish Adjustable Gastric Banding for Obesity.


Dr Denis Cheong Mun Onn
MBBS, FRCS (Glasgow), FAMS 

(Special Interest: Endoscopy, Colorectal & Laparoscopic Surgery)

Dr Cheong was awarded a Ministry of Health Fellowship to do subspecialty training in Colorectal Surgery in the Cleveland Clinic, Florida, USA. He is a Founding Member of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons of Singapore, and a Council Member of the College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. His expertise encompasses the full range of colorectal surgery, including therapeutic colonoscopy, and the treatment of piles and complex perianal disorders. He is especially well known for his expertise in the treatment of colorectal cancer, and is one of the pioneers in laparoscopic and minimally invasive colorectal surgery in Singapore.


Dr Ganesh Ramalingam
MBBS, MMed (Singapore), FRCS (Edinburgh), MRCS (Edinburgh) 

(Special Interest: Endoscopy, Gastrointestinal, Trauma, Bariatric & Laparoscopic Surgery)

Dr Ganesh did a year-long fellowship in Trauma at Beilinson Hospital, Rabin Medical Centre Israel, where he was trained in the management of a wide range of surgical emergencies; complex trauma and surgical critical care. He has a special interest in Trauma, Laparoscopic and Obesity Surgery. He is a founding committee member of the Obesity and Metabolic Surgical Society of Singapore, member of the National Trauma Committee of Singapore and an instructor for ATLS and DSTC courses. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and is part of the adjunct teaching faculty.


Dr Cheng Shin Chuen
MBBS (Hons) (UNSW), MMed (Surgery), FRCS (Edinburgh), FAMS 

(Special Interest: Vascular and Endovascular Surgery)

Dr Cheng underwent his Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship at The Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. His specialty interest is in minimally invasive treatment of a broad range of blood vessel diseases such as; Endovenous treatment for Varicose Veins, Angioplasty and stenting procedures, aortic and peripheral vascular diseases. He is a regional (South East Asia) trainer for Stent treatment of complex aortic diseases and is a founding member of the Section of Vascular Surgery in the Chapter of General Surgeons, Singapore and a Visiting Endovascular Surgeon to Tam Duc Cardiovascular Hospital, Vietnam.
