HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a sexually transmitted virus that can affect both men and women into adulthood. For most people, HPV clears on its own but if not cleared, it may lead to certain cancers and diseases. Gardasil 9 is one of 3 approved vaccines for use in Singapore.
Gardasil 9 helps protect against certain cancers and diseases caused by 9 types of HPV such as cervical cancer, vulvar and vaginal cancers in women, anal cancer, certain head and neck cancers (throat and back of mouth cancers), and genital warts.
This package consists of:
- Consultation with Doctor
- 3 doses of Gardasil 9 (to be administered at 0 month, 1-2 months and 6 months interval)
Recommended for females between 9 and 26 years old.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring any of the following documents for verification and registration:
- Singapore NRIC / Passport / Employment Pass / Work Permit
- Letter of Guarantee from your Insurance Company, if applicable
For corporate clients, please present your staff pass upon registration.
Do I need to fast before my health screening?
You will need to fast for at least eight hours. Please refrain from consuming food the night before with the exception of drinking plain water.
Is there anything else to note before my health screening?
Regular medications under your doctor’s prescription are allowed, except for Beta Blockers. If you are taking Beta Blockers, please consult your doctor and refrain from taking this medicine for 3 days before going for the electrocardiogram (ECG).
You may also stop your diabetes medications on the day of your health screening. You may wish to bring along your medications to resume after your health screening.
For ladies who are menstruating on the day of your health screening, please inform the nurses upon arrival at the clinic. You may be advised to postpone your urine test till 1-2 weeks later as the presence of blood during the test would produce inaccurate results.
