COVID-19 Advisories

1 Mar 2024

Due to the evolving situation of COVID-19, our Patient & Visitor Advisory may be updated frequently.

Please watch this space for our latest announcements.

As Singapore continues to live with COVID-19 as an endemic disease, the government has reviewed the mask-wearing requirements in healthcare settings and has decided to step down the requirements at lower-risk healthcare settings. Mask-wearing requirements for patients, visitors, and staff in outpatient settings (e.g. polyclinics, GP clinics, specialist outpatient clinics, dialysis centres, TCM and dental clinics) will no longer be mandatory.

However, mask-wearing requirements will be maintained for higher-risk healthcare settings such as emergency departments, inpatient wards, and residential care settings. These changes are aligned with our government's transition to living with COVID-19 and to integrate COVID-19 responses into broader public health programmes. These changes also serve to better protect the elderly/immunocompromised and those with higher risk from acquiring respiratory infections at healthcare settings with higher transmission risk for infectious diseases.
