In view of the government’s latest post-circuit breaker measures, the hospital has updated our Patient & Visitor Policy as follows:

  1. All Patients and Visitors are to undergo Health Declaration, Safe Entry, and temperature screenings at the Visitor Registration Counter, located at our main entrance.
  2. Only Pre-Registered Visitors are allowed to visit Inpatients. All other visitors are STRICTLY prohibited from entering the hospital.
  3. Patient & Visitor Policy

A) Adult Inpatients:

  • Patient can nominate up to 5 Pre-Registered Visitors. No other visitors are allowed.
  • Only 2 Pre-Registered Visitors are allowed to visit patient in ward at any one time.
  • Only 1 Pre-Registered Visitor can stay overnight as a paying ‘Lodging Companion’ (Applicable for Single-bedded ward stay only).

B) Paediatric Inpatients (Child aged 12 & below)

  • Up to 5 Pre-Registered Visitors (including Caregiver and/or Guardian). No other visitors are allowed.
  • Only 2 Pre-Registered Visitor may visit patient in ward at any one time.
  • Only 1 Pre-Registered Visitor can stay overnight as a paying ‘Lodging Companion’ (Applicable for Single-bedded ward stay only).

C) Patients visiting Specialist Clinics: 1 Accompanying Adult only

D) Patients visiting Paediatric Clinics: 1 Caregiver only (For every child aged 12 & below)

4.  The following Patients and Visitors are not allowed to enter the Hospital:

  • Are experiencing fever or respiratory symptoms.
  • Have come into contact with suspect/confirmed cases/ persons who returned from overseas within the last 14 days.
  • Have travelled overseas in the last 14 days.

5. From 22 June, visiting hours will temporarily be changed to 1pm-8pm during this period, to ensure visitor flow within the hospital adheres to safe distancing guidelines. Pre-Registered Visitors are required to stagger their visiting hours, and visiting is STRICTLY not allowed outside of these hours.

F&B at Thomson Medical Centre during Circuit Breaker Period 

In view of the implementation of the “circuit breaker” measures from 7 Apr to 4 May 2020, the following changes to the hospital’s F&B outlets will be observed to reduce unnecessary visitor movement.

1. The hospital cafeteria will be closed to the public. Patients and designated visitors are not allowed to dine-in but may still takeaway Fish & Papaya soup.

2. Delifrance will be open to patients and designated visitors only for takeaways from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

In view of the implementation of the government’s “circuit breaker” measures, the hospital will implement the following measures to our Patient and Visitor policy with effect from 7 April 2020 to reduce unnecessary visitor movement.

  1. All Patients and Visitors are to complete a Travel and Health declaration, and undergo temperature screenings at our Visitor Registration Counter, located at our main entrance.
  2. Only designated visitors are allowed to visit Inpatients. All other visitors are STRICTLY prohibited from entering the hospital.
  3. Visitation & Companion Policy

A) Maternity Inpatients:

  • 1 Designated Visitor only.
  • Only this Designated Visitor may visit patient in ward, no other visitors are allowed.
  • Designated Visitor can opt to stay overnight as a paying ‘Lodging Companion’ (Applicable for Single-bedded ward stay only).

B) Paediatric Inpatients (Child aged 12 & below)

  • Up to 2 Designated Visitors (including Caregiver and/or Guardian)
  • Only these 2 Designated Visitors may visit patient in ward, no other visitors are allowed.
  • Only 1 Designated Visitor is allowed to visit patient in ward at any one time.
  • Only 1 Designated Visitor can stay overnight as a paying ‘Lodging Companion’ (Applicable for Single-bedded ward stay only).

In light of the increasing number of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in the past week, the government has highlighted the possibility of undetected cases circulating in the community and some evidence that infected people showing no symptoms may infect others.

With effect from 6 April 2020, we will implement the following measures to our Patient & Visitor Policy to further safeguard the health and safety of our patients and staff.

  1. Mandatory for all Patients and Visitors to be masked for entry to the Hospital. Patients and Visitors may choose to wear their own surgical or reusable masks.
  2. Surgical masks will be made available at a cost to Patients and Visitors without masks

5. Our Hospital’s Visiting Hours is 8am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm. Visiting is STRICTLY not allowed outside of these hours.
 
6. Patients and Visitors are reminded that False Declaration is an offence under the Infectious Diseases Act. Health and Travel Declaration must be completed truthfully. False declarations will be subject to prosecution.

Health Advisory-Novel Coronavirus

Visitors with a travel history to mainland China in the last 14 days will not be allowed on the hospital premises.

We are also limiting the number of visitors to the wards, as well as visitors accompanying patients.
