Dr Chin Chong Min is a Consultant Urologist of 27 years' experience based at Mt Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He is also Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore and Visiting Consultant at National University Hospital, Raffles Hospital and Changi General Hospital.

His urology training included a year at Bristol Urological Institute (BUI) in the United Kingdom (1996-1997), and a residency program in robotic urology at the University of California, Irvine (2005) in USA.

Dr Chin is renowned for his surgical expertise in uro-oncology, i.e. kidney, bladder, prostate and testicle cancer. He is versatile in both laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He has trained on the latest da Vinci Xi robot and is conversant with all three da Vinci robotic systems (viz. Standard, Si and Xi). His robotic experience includes over 800 prostate, 40 kidney and 6 adrenal surgeries. He has developed his own techniques in robotic surgery and presented two original videos of his robotic prostatectomy at the 2012 European Association of Urology Congress in Paris. His usual surgery time is 2 hours. The largest cancerous prostate he has removed is 120 gm, while the largest kidney tumour he has removed is 7 cm.

His other area of expertise is bladder dysfunction and urinary incontinence. He is one of the first urologists in Singapore to do sling surgery (TVT & TVT-O) for correcting stress incontinence. He is author of the 2nd edition of Clinical Handbook on Management of Incontinence (2001) and chairman of the committee which drafted the Clinical Practice Guidelines on 'Management of Urinary Incontinence' (2008).

In the endoscopic management of urinary stones, he is experienced in percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PCNL) and laser ureteroscopy. Dr Chin also does laser prostatectomy (Greenlight laser) and has done more than 500 endoscopic prostate (TURP) surgeries.
