Dr Lawrence Ang

Dr Lawrence Ang is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (O&G) currently practising at Thomson Women’s Clinic in Sembawang.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr Ang has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and specialises in the removal of cysts and fibroids. To treat fibroids, he performs myomectomy, a procedure that removes fibroids while preserving the uterus. He also carries out hysterectomy, the surgical removal of the womb, when medically necessary. In addition to gynaecological surgery, Dr Ang also supports women throughout their pregnancies. He provides thorough antenatal and postnatal care, and manages complex or high-risk pregnancies and deliveries, including obstetric interventions and caesarean sections.

He obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1990. In 1996, he completed his MRCOG at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the United Kingdom. He also completed his MMed (O&G) at the National University of Singapore in the same year. The following year, Dr Ang obtained his MRACOG from the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Australia.

Dr Ang is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
