Dr Ang Teck Kee is a cardiologist at ACE Cardiology Clinic in Orchard. Dr Ang Teck specialises in complex coronary intervention and has sub-specialty training in interventional cardiology, performing more than 3,000 invasive coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions, along with interests that include stroke prevention in at-risk cardiac patients with abnormal heart rhythms (example: atrial fibrillation).
Dr Ang graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). He obtained his post-graduate Internal Medicine degree, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 2010. Dr Ang underwent Cardiology Advanced Specialty Training at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), Singapore from 2011-2014 and was accredited by Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and Ministry of Health Singapore (MOHS) as a specialist in Cardiology in 2014.
In 2016, he was awarded the Human Manpower Development Program (HMDP) scholarship by the Ministry of Health, Singapore to further sub-specialise in the field of Interventional Cardiology at Liverpool District Hospital, New South Wales, Sydney.
Dr Ang also has additional interests, which include stroke prevention in at-risk cardiac patients with abnormal rhythms (example: atrial fibrillation), while also being passionate about and actively involved in the latest technological advancements in cardiology. An example of this would be his utilisation of the anatomical snuff box (base of thumb) artery access for minimally invasive angioplasty.
Dr Ang Teck Kee is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, and Parkway East Hospital.
