Dr Gordon Lim

Dr Gordon Lim is a Senior Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practising at Gordon Lim Clinic & Surgery for Women in Napier.

He has more than 35 years of experience caring for women across different stages of life, with focus on pregnancy care and common gynaecological conditions. Dr Lim’s clinical interests include antenatal care and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. He provides pregnancy care supported by routine ultrasound assessments, including 3D and 4D ultrasound scanning. His practice also includes minimally invasive (keyhole) surgical management of conditions such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and infertility-related gynaecological issues.

Dr Lim obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Middlesex Hospital Medical School in London in 1975. He subsequently qualified as a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in the United Kingdom in 1982, and was later conferred Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) in 2003.

After completing his housemanship in the United Kingdom, Dr Lim served as a Medical Officer with the Singapore Armed Forces from 1977 to 1979. He later worked at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where he held various appointments within the University Department at Kandang Kerbau Hospital, before entering private practice in 1985.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Lim has contributed to medical literature as the author of numerous papers. He is also the author of the book Nine Months and Counting, which focuses on pregnancy and childbirth.
