Dr Jenny Tang Poh Lin is a Senior Consultant Paediatrician currently practising at the SBCC Baby & Child Clinic (Asthma, Lung, Sleep, Allergy, & Paediatric Centre) in Napier.

With a special interest in asthma, lung, sleep, and allergies, she successfully led a sleep service to become the first sleep laboratory in Asia to achieve accreditation from the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Her clinical practice covers asthma and lung disorders, allergy disorders, and sleep-related conditions. She cares for children with eczema, food allergies, allergic rhinitis, cough, wheeze, breathlessness, noisy breathing, chest infections, obstructive sleep apnoea, and other respiratory concerns. Additionally, she also performs allergy assessments, lung function tests, and sleep studies.

Dr Tang obtained her MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1991. She then earned her Master of Medicine in Paediatrics in 1995 and her membership to the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 1996. She completed her advanced specialist training in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio in the United States. She also received fellowships from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK), American College of Chest Physicians (USA), Asia Pacific Society of Respirology, and the Academy of Medicine Singapore. She is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Prior to private practice, Dr Tang served at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital as Deputy Head of the Department of Paediatric Medicine, Head and Senior Consultant of the Respiratory Medicine Service, and Medical Director of the Sleep Disorders Centre. She was also Adjunct Associate Professor at Duke NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.

Her contributions have been recognised with Service from the Heart awards, the National Day Commendation Award, Young Investigator awards, and the HMDP Fellowship for Paediatric Pulmonology and Sleep. She has published in the areas of paediatric asthma, lung, sleep, and allergy. As a key opinion leader in her field, she is a keen advocate for good medical practice and quality patient care. She is also an invited speaker at many local and regional educational events. In addition, she has held positions on MOH medical advisory committees, MOH clinical practice expert groups, and executive committees of the Academy of Medicine, medical societies, and patient support groups.
