Dr Kevin Yik Jing Hui

Dr Kevin Yik Jing Hui is an Orthopaedic Surgeon currently practising at Elite Orthopaedics in Napier. 

Dr Yik has been in clinical practice since 2008. His subspecialty areas include sports medicine, orthopaedic trauma, shoulder surgery and elbow surgery. He provides care for adult patients. His clinical practice includes shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery and fracture fixation. He also performs shoulder, elbow and knee joint replacement (arthroplasty), as well as sports surgery. 

Dr Yik graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2008. He obtained his MRCS (Glasg) in 2011, MMed (Ortho) in 2017 and FRCS (Ortho) in 2018. His subspecialty training included fellowships in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and Korea University Guro Hospital. During these fellowships, he trained under Prof Oh Joo Han and Prof Oh Jong Keon. 

Prior to private practice, Dr Yik worked at National University Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He also served as Head of Division for Orthopaedic Trauma in both hospitals. In these roles, he led collaborative clinical and educational efforts between the two hospitals. Dr Yik continues to serve as a visiting consultant at National University Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. 

In medical education, Dr Yik serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He is also involved in teaching and training future doctors and surgeons. Within AO Trauma, he serves as Community Development Officer for the Singapore council and Regional Program Coordinator for Asia Pacific Upper Extremity trauma. He is also a faculty member at numerous AO Trauma courses. His academic work includes numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences. 

Dr Yik is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
