Dr Ma Li

Dr Ma Li is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based at Dr Ma Li Clinic For Women & Advanced Pelvic Surgery in Orchard.

Dr Ma's clinical expertise lies in the management of endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, and ovarian cysts. She is highly skilled in advanced laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery, offering comprehensive assessments through endometriosis mapping scans and providing cutting-edge treatments. Her proficiency extends to complex surgeries for deep infiltrating endometriosis and other intricate gynaecological conditions.

Dr Ma graduated from Tsinghua University in China and completed her obstetrics and gynaecology residencies at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, China, and the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK, and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, USA.

Before moving into private practice, Dr Ma was instrumental in establishing the Endometriosis Clinic at NUH, where she led the endometriosis service from 2015 to 2024. She has performed over 1,500 stage IV endometriosis surgeries, addressing conditions such as bowel and urinary tract endometriosis, endometriosis-related infertility, and diaphragmatic endometriosis. Her experience spans more than 15 years, during which she has managed some of the most complex gynaecological cases.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Ma is actively involved in teaching and training. She provides surgical training for residents and minimally invasive surgical training for surgeons. She is also a passionate advocate for raising awareness about endometriosis, serving as the medical advisor for the Singapore Endometriosis Support Group and founding endosupport.sg, an information platform dedicated to endometriosis.

Dr Ma's dedication to her patients and the field of gynaecology has earned her numerous accolades, including the Incredible Care Service Champion award. Her commitment to advancing women's health is reflected in her ongoing research, teaching, and public outreach efforts.

Dr Ma Li is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.
