Dr Noel K Y Leong is an Advisor and Senior Consultant at Thomson Fertility Centre and Visiting Senior Consultant at KK Women's and Children's Hospital. He is also practicing at Noel Leong Fertility & IVF Clinic, located in Farrer Park.

Dr Leong has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialising in Reproductive Medicine since he obtained his specialist degree in 1978. The discipline of Reproductive Medicine includes the management of couples with infertility and the endocrinology of reproduction in women.

Dr Leong has been in government service since he graduated from the University of Singapore in 1972. He worked in different government hospitals including KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Toa Payoh Hospital, Alexandra Hospital as well as National University Hospital during his career with the government. He was appointed Head of the Department of Reproductive Medicine, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, and Director, KKIVF and National Sperm Bank from April 1993 till he left for private practice in October 2001.

While he was in institutional practice, he spent considerable time training overseas. In 1983-1984, as a Senior Registrar, he did his Human Power Development Planning (HMDP) Fellowship in Reproductive Microsurgery and Endocrinology in Hammersmith Hospital, London, and Karolinska Institute, Stockholm. Subsequently, as a consultant, he was again awarded an HMDP fellowship in Reproductive Medicine and spent two years from 1991-1993 with the Reproductive Biology Unit, Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne practicing IVF.

His other interests include keeping ornamental fish, tennis, and contract bridge and he plays the ukulele.
