Common Vaginal Health and Menstruation Conditions
Why do women experience itchy vagina and discharge? Could it be infections?
An itchy vagina and abnormal vaginal discharge are frequently caused by vaginal and pelvic infections including yeast infections, bacterial infections, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, or trichomoniasis. However, persistent symptoms or itchiness leading to burning sensation may also indicate cervical abnormalities, PCOS-related hormonal changes, or menopause transitions. Why are irregular periods and menstrual changes so common?
Irregular periods affect millions of women and often indicate underlying conditions like endometriosis, PCOS, or grown fibroids. These gynecological issues can cause heavy bleeding, missed cycles, spotting between periods, and unpredictable menstrual timing that disrupts daily planning. Menstrual disorders are surprisingly common, with conditions like grown cysts and hormonal imbalances contributing to abnormal flow patterns and cycle irregularities.Screen with a same-day pelvic ultrasound
Pelvic ultrasound is a quick, painless, and non-invasive imaging technique commonly used in most O&G clinics to examine your reproductive organs. This advanced diagnostic tool provides clear, detailed images that help detect grown fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and early signs of uterine, ovarian, or cervical cancers. The procedure typically takes just 15-30 minutes and causes no discomfort, making it an ideal screening method for comprehensive women's health assessment.
