Dr Ashley Thean

Dr Ashley Thean is a dentist at Thomson Dental Centre, with a special interest in children's dentistry.

Dr Thean, an alumna of the University of Melbourne, is deeply committed to the comfort and care of her patients. As she has a special interest in children's dentistry, she consistently employs a kind and gentle approach with her young patients, ensuring their experiences are positive and comforting. During her undergraduate years, she was awarded the William J. Tuckfield Prize for her outstanding performance in restorative dentistry. She further distinguished herself by making the Dean's List for High Achievement. Topping that accolade, one of Dr Thean's research papers, submitted as an undergraduate, was selected to be published in the Australian Dental Journal.

Dr Thean began her career in private practice in rural Australia, where she provided dental care to a diverse range of patients across various socio-economic backgrounds. Committed to her professional development, she regularly participates in continuing education, including programmes like the 35th Australian Dental Congress in Melbourne. Dr Thean's primary goal is to ensure each of her patients has a positive dental experience.
