Dr Glenn Tan Yin Kiat is an Anaesthesiologist currently practising at Serene Leo Anaesthesia Practice in Raffles Place.
Dr Tan’s clinical practice covers general anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia, airway management, and perioperative care. He has experience supporting multiple surgical specialties and has a particular interest in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and advanced airway management. His work also includes procedural sedation and acute pain management, with an emphasis on patient safety and optimising perioperative outcomes.
Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore and subsequently completed specialist training in anaesthesiology. He attained Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Anaesthesia).
Prior to entering private practice, Dr Tan trained and practised at several public healthcare institutions, including Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Changi General Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, National University Hospital, Singapore General Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. During his tenure at Alexandra Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, he served as Clinical Co-Lead of the Pre-Anaesthesia Clinic and Clinical Lead of the Airway Special Interest Group. He was conferred the 20 Years Long Service Award in 2021 in recognition of his service in the public healthcare system.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr Tan has been actively involved in medical education. He has received the Outstanding Young Undergraduate Tutor Award and the Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award for his contributions to undergraduate training. He was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor under the Clinical Faculty Scheme at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and has contributed to postgraduate clinical workshops and training programmes, particularly in airway management and regional anaesthesia.
Dr Tan is accredited to perform anaesthetic procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
