Dr Hong Lin Feng is a Consultant Psychiatrist currently practising at Connections MindHealth in Novena.

Dr Hong has developed a dual focus in Child & Adolescent Mental Health and Women’s Mental Health. She combines medical treatment with a compassionate, family-centred approach informed by training in Family-Based Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Infant Mental Health, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Circle of Security.

Her practice covers the care of children, adolescents, and adults. She has clinical interests in ADHD, perinatal mental health, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and perimenopausal mental health. She also supports women through different life stages, including menstruation, pregnancy, postbirth, and menopause. In addition, she also cares for women who have experienced pregnancy losses, traumatic life events, or treatment for cancers.

Following this passion, Dr Hong completed her psychiatry residency in Singapore between 2016 and 2020. She has also pursued training in Family-Based Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Infant Mental Health, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Circle of Security. She is also a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, United Kingdom.

Prior to private practice, Dr Hong served in the Department of Psychological Medicine at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from 2020 to 2025. She was Associate Consultant Psychiatrist from 2020 to 2022 and Consultant Psychiatrist from 2022 to 2025. During this period, she was also Associate Program Director of the NHG Psychiatry Residency Program from 2024 to 2025. In 2025, she also served as Co-chair of the SingHealth Epic Implementation Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Specialty Content Workgroup.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Hong has taught and mentored medical students, psychiatry residents, paediatricians, and allied health professionals. In recognition of her teaching contributions, Duke-NUS Medical School conferred on her the title of Clinical Assistant Professor in 2025. She also led mental health education for paediatricians at KK Hospital and spearheaded a Child and Adolescent Mental Health symposium in October 2023.

Her academic work includes presentations at the IPRAMHO International Meeting in 2023 and the Singapore-Malaysia Medical Congress in 2024. She was also lead author of “The Postnatal Depression Intervention Program (PNDIP): a 10-Year Review” and “Perinatal Mental Telehealth: A Singaporean Experience Born in COVID-19.” In addition, she served as Principal Investigator of a study on antenatal depression from screening to intervention.
