Dr Liew Kein Meng Wendy

Dr Liew Kein Meng Wendy is a paediatrician at Dr Wendy Liew Paediatric and Child Neurology Centre in Orchard. Dr Wendy Liew specialises in paediatric neurology. 

Graduating with an MBChB from the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom in 2001, Dr Wendy Liew continued to obtain her MRCPCH at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the United Kingdom around five years later. Dr Liew Kein Meng Wendy has over two decades worth of clinical experience. Besides being proficient in routine newborn care, vaccination, well baby check-ups, and common childhood illnesses, she is well-versed in managing children with neurological diseases, such as epilepsy or epileptic seizures, headache and neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis, spinal muscular atrophy and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Dr Wendy Liew is an expert in the area of pediatric neuromuscular disorders and has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in international journals. She has presented at various local and international meetings and was awarded the Young Investigator Award at the Asian-Oceanian Myology Centre Annual Scientific Meeting in Thailand in 2015. She is also the recipient of the National Medical Research Council’s New Investigator Grant to study the utility of noninvasive biomarkers such as MRI of the muscle and genomic sequencing in the management of paediatric patients with neuromuscular disorders.

Dr Liew is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, and Paragon Medical Centre.
