Dr Pravin Lingam is a General Surgeon currently practising at Unitas Surgical Clinic, with clinics located in Novena, Telok Kurau Road, and Orchard.

With more than 15 years of clinical experience, Dr Pravin’s subspeciality interest is in vascular and endovascular surgery, where he performs procedures such as angioplasty and stenting, carotid endarterectomy, arteriovenous fistula (AVF) creation for dialysis, vascular access surgery and varicose vein treatment. As a General Surgeon, he also manages common surgical conditions including hernias, appendicitis and benign perianal disease, and performs appendicectomy (open and laparoscopic), hernia repair, small bowel surgery and diagnostic endoscopy such as OGD, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy.

Dr Pravin completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), followed by a Master of Medicine (Surgery). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd). His dedication to further training led to the award of the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship, through which he completed an advanced clinical fellowship at the Leeds Vascular Institute in the United Kingdom.

Prior to entering private practice, Dr Pravin was one of the founders of the General Surgery service at Woodlands Health. He has also served as a Visiting Consultant at the National University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. These roles enabled him to accumulate broad experience across general and vascular surgery in both acute and elective settings.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Pravin is actively involved in medical education. He serves as a Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore and as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He is also an instructor for the American College of Surgeons’ Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course. Beyond teaching, he has contributed to surgical knowledge through publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and presentations at regional and international conferences.

Dr Pravin is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
