Dr Sueziani Binte Zainudin

Dr Sueziani Binte Zainudin is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist currently practising at the Ascensus Health Specialist Centre in Novena and also acts as the Director.

With over 20 years of public service, Dr Sueziani has led several diabetes initiatives that reflect her focus on collaborative and strategic care. These include the MOHH NIU DM 2.0 Collaborative, DEAR for fasting, DREAM for diabetes foot care, DICP for integrated care, LINK GP for Endocrinology with primary care, and DUIT and DIVA for travel.

With a subspecialty in Diabetes & Metabolism, her clinical practice covers diabetes care, metabolic disorders, and comprehensive endocrine management. She manages Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, diabetes-related complications, thyroid disorders, thyroid eye disease, obesity, metabolic syndrome, adrenal and pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, PCOS, parathyroid disorders, metabolic bone disease, menopause, and hormonal imbalances. In her practice, she also cares for diabetes during Ramadan fasting, pregnancy, and other unique circumstances.

Dr Sueziani obtained her MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 2002. She received MRCP (UK) in 2009 and MRCPS (Glasgow) in 2010. Specialist Accreditation in Endocrinology and FAMS (Endocrinology), Academy of Medicine Singapore, were awarded in 2014. She went on to receive FRCP (Glasgow) in 2017. Her training also includes the SingHealth HMDP Fellowship in Integrated Diabetes Care at King’s College Hospital London NHS Foundation Trust from 2016 to 2017.

Prior to private practice, Dr Sueziani served as Senior Consultant in the Department of Endocrinology at Sengkang General Hospital, where she helped develop innovative diabetes care programmes from 2016. During this period, she pioneered the establishment of the Diabetes and Endocrinology service.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Sueziani serves as Review Editor for Frontiers in Endocrinology and Guest Associate Editor for Frontiers of Clinical Diabetes and Healthcare. Her academic appointments include Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Clinical Senior Lecturer at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Clinical Adjunct Teaching Faculty at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

She also received the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2015 and the Annals Gold Best Paper Award in 2016. Other recognitions include the SingHealth Silver Award - Singapore Health Quality Service Awards in 2022, the SingHealth Publish! Award in 2023, and the MOH Office of Transformation National Diabetes Collaborative PDSA Support Fund Award in 2024. She co-authored Chapter 7 of the International Diabetes Federation Diabetes and Ramadan Practical Guidelines 2021.
