Dr Tan Shi Ming is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon currently practising at Centurion Orthopaedic Centre in Novena and Farrer Park.

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr Tan subspecialises in foot and ankle surgery, sports injuries, and minimally invasive surgery. Additionally, he also treats foot and ankle, hip, and knee conditions. His practice includes bunion correction, deformity correction surgery, keyhole surgery for ankle ligament and cartilage injuries, ankle replacement, hip and knee replacement surgery, and non-invasive orthobiologics treatment.

Dr Tan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. He then completed his orthopaedic training under the SingHealth Orthopaedic Residency Programme. After completing his specialist training, he received the MOH award for fellowship training. He later underwent subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery at North Bristol NHS and Spire Bristol Hospitals in Bristol (United Kingdom), Swiss Ortho Centre, Schmerzklinik in Basel (Switzerland), and Centre Osteo-Articulaire Des Cedres in Grenoble (France).

Prior to private practice, Dr Tan served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Singapore General Hospital. He also held concurrent appointments as Assistant Professor at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School.

In medical education, Dr Tan held core faculty roles in the SingHealth Orthopaedic Residency Programme, the PGY-1 Residency Programme, AO Trauma Foundation, and regional surgical cadaveric courses. He also served as a clinical lecturer and examiner for all three local medical schools in their core curriculum. In addition, he has authored numerous journal publications and textbook chapters on orthopaedic disorders. He continues to lecture locally and regionally to orthopaedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
