Dr Tow Phak Boon Benjamin is an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon currently practising at Orthopaedic and Spine Clinic in Orchard. 

Dr Tow is fellowship-trained and has more than 20 years of experience in orthopaedic practice. His overseas fellowship included clinical and research training in spine-related areas. 

Dr Tow specialises in orthopaedic surgery and has a subspecialty in spine surgery. He manages degenerative spinal conditions and spinal deformity. His practice includes minimally invasive spine surgery and percutaneous injections for spine conditions. Beyond spine care, he manages orthopaedic conditions affecting the knee, hip, ankle and upper limb. He also treats traumatic fractures of the upper and lower limbs and paediatric orthopaedic conditions. 

Dr Tow graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1998. He obtained his Master of Medicine in Orthopaedics from NUS in 2002. In 2005, he received the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in Orthopaedics (UK). From 2006 to 2007, he completed an overseas fellowship at the UCLA Comprehensive Spine Centre in Los Angeles, USA. His fellowship was undertaken under the mentorship of Professor Jeffrey Wang and Dr Larry Khoo. 

Prior to private practice, Dr Tow served at Singapore General Hospital in the Spine Service, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, as a Consultant from 2008 to 2012. He was also a member of the Trauma service during his time at Singapore General Hospital. His committee memberships include the Executive Committee of Back Society Singapore and the Executive Committee of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association. 

From 2007 to 2012, Dr Tow was a Clinical Teacher at the National University of Singapore. He was also an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School from 2009 to 2012. In 2005, he received the Outstanding Paper Award at the International Conference on Bio-Medical Engineering Annual Meeting. He also received the Heart of Gold Service Award from Singapore General Hospital. Dr Tow is named as a co-inventor on Singapore Patent Application No. 200400360-3 for a metacarpal osteotomy jig, filed on 5 February 2004. His academic work includes publications on spine surgery and other orthopaedic topics.
