Dr Victor Wang Tzong-Jing is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon currently practising at FeM Surgery in Napier.

As a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon, Dr Wang subspecialises in spine surgery, with clinical interests in degenerative spine conditions, adult spinal deformities, and conditions related to the intervertebral discs. He performs minimally invasive spine surgery and computer-assisted procedures (including navigation- and robot-assisted techniques), as well as complex spinal deformity correction and revision spine surgeries. Dr Wang is also a strong proponent of the principles of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) to optimise post-surgical outcomes, utilising computer navigation for major spine surgeries.

Dr Wang graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2006. He obtained his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) from the National University of Singapore in 2015 and was conferred the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthopaedics) in 2016. In 2008, he was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He was awarded the Ministry of Health Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship in 2019 and subsequently completed a one-year fellowship in spine surgery at Hokkaido Medical Centre, National Hospital Organization, Japan.

Prior to joining private practice, Dr Wang practised at Woodlands Health, where he was involved in the management of patients with a range of spinal conditions. During his tenure, he contributed to the development of enhanced post-operative recovery protocols for spine surgery.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Wang is involved in clinical research and medical education. He has published in international peer-reviewed journals and was awarded the Singapore Orthopaedic Association P Balasubramaniam Young Orthopaedic Investigator’s Award. He has also held teaching appointments with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, and continues to be involved in the training of junior doctors and residents.
