Dr Toon is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at HC Orthopaedic Surgery, with clinics in Orchard, Joo Chiat, Novena and Napier in Singapore. He holds a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, and is an accredited Orthopaedic Specialist by the Ministry of Health, Singapore.After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Leeds, UK, in 2009, Dr Toon completed postgraduate training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, followed by orthopaedic residency with the National Healthcare Group (NHG), Singapore. He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Scholarship to pursue a fellowship in Advanced Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in Sydney, Australia.Specialising in sports and upper limb injuries, Dr Toon is proficient in minimally invasive (arthroscopic) and open surgeries, including knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus and cartilage repair, knee osteotomies, shoulder stabilisation, rotator cuff tendon repair, and shoulder and elbow replacements. Among the first in Singapore to perform the all-arthroscopic muscle advancement procedure for irreparable rotator cuff tears, he also treats frozen shoulder, tendinopathies, and sports-related ankle injuries. His background in CrossFit and functional fitness training enhances his understanding of sports-related injuries from both a medical and athletic perspective. She returned to live and work in Singapore since 2008, after practising in London for 5 years. She completed her postgraduate specialist training in Singapore at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in various departments including Paediatric Medicine, Neonatology, Paediatric Intensive Care, Children’s Emergency and Paediatric Subspecialties. Dr Ong attained her postgraduate qualifications from The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK and is registered as a specialist in Paediatric Medicine with the Singapore Medical Council.Her clinical interests include nutrition in the early years encompassing infant feeding and nutrition. In 2011, he received the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award to undertake clinical oncology training in the UK. He then obtained his Fellowship in Clinical Oncology from the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) in 2013 and became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore the following year.Prior to joining private practice, Dr Tan was a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at NCCS. During his time there, he played a key role in establishing the centre’s liver and pancreas SBRT programme. His responsibilities included developing treatment protocols, leading multidisciplinary case discussions, and providing clinical teams with training in stereotactic radiotherapy.
