Dr Benjamin Seah is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and the Medical Director at Total Orthopaedic Care &amp; Surgery.&nbsp;Dr Seah's clinical interests include complex shoulder and elbow pathologies, such as fractures, instability, and joint reconstruction.He graduated from University College London in 2008, receiving the University College London-Singapore Undergraduate Scholarship. During his undergraduate years, he spent a year researching at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, UK, graduating top of his class with First Class Honours in Orthopaedic Sciences (Bachelor of Science) in 2005. He obtained his postgraduate Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2011 and his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) in 2013. As part of the pioneer batch of Orthopaedic Residency Trainees in SingHealth, he achieved his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2017.Before transitioning to private practice, Dr Seah was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Shoulder and Elbow Service Lead at Sengkang General Hospital, where he managed complex shoulder and elbow injuries, including fractures, ligament injuries, arthroscopy, tendon transfers, and joint replacements.In addition to his clinical work, Dr Seah is actively involved in medical education and mentoring future doctors and nurses. He has been a Clinical Tutor for LKC School of Medicine and YLL-NUS School of Medicine, an Assistant Clinical Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, and an AO Trauma ORP regional contributor for nurses. Recently, he served as the Chair of the AO Trauma Basic Course (2022) for Surgeons. Physician Ng Jin Ju graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2010 with a double degree in Biomedical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She went on to refine her clinical expertise over six years at a leading TCM charity organization. During this time, she also completed her Master's in TCM, with focus in TCM Oncology. After joining the civil service in 2016, Physician Jin Ju continued to dedicate herself to TCM clinical work by practicing at the Singapore Tzu Chi TCM Free Clinic, ensuring she remained actively engaged with patient care. During her time in the civil service, she also contributed to the formulation of policies for Traditional &amp; Complementary Medicine, a role that reinforced her belief in TCM's vital role in public health. Her clinical expertise encompasses acupuncture for effective pain management, especially for the elderly. She also has keen interest in the holistic management of oncology patients, particularly within gynecological cancers like breast cancer, helping to ease the side effects after conventional western treatment. Dr Teoh obtained her Master’s in Sports Medicine (Honours) in 1994 in the United States of America and is recognised as Singapore’s first female sports and exercise medicine specialist. She is also trained in medical acupuncture.&nbsp;With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr Teoh cares for individuals across different activity levels – from competitive and recreational athletes to people who simply enjoy staying active. She also has a strong interest in promoting safe physical activity for persons with disabilities, older adults, children, and youth. Her involvement at the London 2012 Paralympics further shaped her commitment to inclusive sports participation.&nbsp;Dr Teoh has served as a team physician for Singapore’s national athletes at major sporting events for three decades. She has taken on roles such as Chief Medical Officer for Team Singapore at the SEA Games, ASEAN Para Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Youth Olympic Games, Olympic Games, and Paralympic Games. From 2014 to 2018, she led the medical support team for Singapore Schools at the ASEAN Schools Games.&nbsp;She currently holds several leadership and advisory positions, including Chair of the Therapeutic Use Exemption Committees of Anti-Doping Singapore, Chair of the Women in Sport Committee of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), and Chair of the Advisory Committee for the School of Sports and Health at Republic Polytechnic (RP). She also serves on the RP Board of Governors, the Medical Commission of SNOC, and the Medical Advisory Panel of the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC). In addition, she is on the boards of the Singapore Sports School and Singapore Bowling Pte Ltd, and is a Past President of the Sports Medicine Association of Singapore.&nbsp;Internationally, Dr Teoh has contributed to several medical and anti-doping committees. She previously served as Secretary of the International Hockey Federation Medical Committee and was a member of the Anti-Doping Committee of the International Paralympic Committee and the Therapeutic Use Exemption Expert Advisory Group of the World Anti-Doping Agency. She has been actively involved in medical services planning for the Commonwealth Games as part of the Anti-Doping and Medical Commission of the Commonwealth Games Federation. For the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), she serves on the Medical Commission and has worked as a Supervisory Doctor at international competitions, including the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. In 2024, she was appointed to the Gender Equity Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia.&nbsp;Her contributions to sports and healthcare have been recognised through several awards, including the Public Service Medal (2019), Healthcare Humanity Award (2020), National Healthcare Group (NHG) Outstanding Citizenship Award (2022), NHG Distinguished Achievement Award (2025), and the Singapore Disability Sports Council Community Changemaker of the Year for PlayBuddy (2023). PlayBuddy, the inclusive sports playgroup she founded, was also featured in the Channel NewsAsia “Extraordinary People” series in 2025.&nbsp;Outside her clinical and committee roles, Dr Teoh is a certified facilitator of Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of shoulder disorders such as&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thomsonmedical.com/blog/rotator-cuff-injury" target="_blank">rotator cuff injury</a>, frozen shoulder, instability, and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thomsonmedical.com/blog/arthritis" target="_blank">arthritis</a>, as well as knee conditions involving ligament, meniscus, and cartilage injuries. He also manages upper limb and elbow conditions, including tennis elbow and fractures. Dr Ng is trained in minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgical techniques aimed at supporting faster recovery and improved outcomes.Dr Ng obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he also completed his Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery. He was awarded the Ministry of Health’s Human Manpower Development Plan scholarship to pursue subspecialty training in sports injuries at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Centre in Ontario, Canada. He also received the Gold Medal Award for achieving the highest score in the Fellowship Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd Orth).Before entering private practice, Dr Ng served as Deputy Head of the Shoulder and Elbow Division and the Sports Knee Division at the National University Hospital (NUH). He was also part of the core faculty for the NUH Residency Programme and held an appointment as Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.&nbsp;In addition to his clinical and teaching roles, Dr Ng has published and presented his research in orthopaedic surgery at both local and international conferences.Dr Ng is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
