Dr Bernard Lau Puang Huh is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Orthopaedic Practice and Surgery, with clinics located in Farrer Park, Orchard, Novena, and Napier.
He subspecialises in foot and ankle surgery, with a particular focus on sports injuries, bunion, and degenerative conditions of the lower limb. His clinical expertise includes minimally invasive bunion correction, ankle arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), and general orthopaedic and trauma procedures.
Dr Lau graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, subsequently completing his orthopaedic residency training with the National University Health System (NUHS). After completing his residency, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and pursued further subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery in Melbourne, Australia.
Prior to entering private practice, Dr Lau was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the National University Hospital (NUH) and Alexandra Hospital. He was a founding member of the foot and ankle service at Alexandra Hospital and remains a Visiting Consultant at NUH.
Dr Lau is actively involved in education and research. He has served as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and as Clinical Educator at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU. His academic work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the International Federation of Foot and Ankle Societies (IFFAS).
Dr Lau is accredited to perform orthopaedic procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
