Dr Chan Kwai Onn

Dr Chan Kwai Onn is a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat) practising at K O Chan Ear Nose Throat Sinus & Sleep Centre in Novena. 

Dr Chan's professional experience includes the management of sinus and sleep-related conditions. His clinical background includes specialist training in Canada and involvement in teaching endoscopic sinus surgery to doctors internationally. 

Dr Chan specialises in otorhinolaryngology (ENT), with a subspecialty in rhinology. His clinical interests include sinus disorders, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). He performs image-guided endoscopic sinus surgery and balloon sinuplasty for the management of sinus conditions. 

Dr Chan graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1993. He subsequently completed his specialist training in ENT, Head and Neck Surgery in 2002. From 2002 to 2003, he underwent further specialist training at St Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, focusing on endoscopic sinus surgery, skull base surgery and rhinology. His qualifications include Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Edin), Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS Glasg) and Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) in ENT. He is also a Fellow of the American Rhinologic Society. 

Prior to private practice, Dr Chan served at Changi General Hospital (CGH) in ENT, Head and Neck Surgery, where he worked as a specialist from 2003. During his time at CGH, he headed the Sinus and Allergy Clinic. He also holds Visiting ENT Consultant appointments at Changi General Hospital, KK Women's and Children's Hospital and Singapore General Hospital. 

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Chan contributes to medical education and professional development. He serves as a Clinical Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore. His teaching experience includes training doctors in Canada in 2006, Kenya in 2006 and 2007, Vietnam in 2007 and Cambodia in 2007. These educational activities focused on endoscopic sinus surgery. Dr Chan also serves as President of the Singapore ENT Society and is involved in the training of ENT doctors. 

Dr Chan is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
