Dr Colum Patrick Nolan is a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon and the Medical Director at Oxford Spine and Neurosurgery Centre, with clinics in Novena, Orchard, and Thomson Rd.

With more than 20 years of medical and surgical experience, Dr Nolan subspecialises in spine surgery, focusing on minimally invasive and motion-preserving techniques. His clinical expertise includes degenerative and complex spinal disorders, cervical spine surgery, spinal tumours, spinal trauma, and endoscopic spine procedures. He is experienced in the use of spinal navigation and robotic technologies in performing image-guided and minimally invasive spine surgeries.

Dr Nolan graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2001 and completed his basic surgical training in Dublin. He subsequently underwent neurosurgical training in Ireland and Australia, including an intra-residency fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He later pursued a complex spine fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, with additional rotations at the Orthopaedic Spine Unit, Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, United Kingdom.

Before establishing his private practice, Dr Nolan served at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) in Singapore from 2014, where he held positions as Director of the Spine and Spinal Disorders Programme and Head of the Neurosurgery Service at Sengkang General Hospital. He was also a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon based at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Nolan has contributed to teaching and research. He continues to serve as a Visiting Consultant at NNI and has authored publications in international peer-reviewed journals. He has also presented at conferences regionally and internationally and served as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, contributing to the training of future neurosurgeons.

Dr Nolan is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
