Dr Jackson Jiang Kian Hong is a Consultant Hand Surgeon who currently practises at Orchard Hand Surgery in Orchard, as well as acting as its Medical Director.
Dr Jackson has been practising medicine for more than 15 years. He started the hand surgery service at Sengkang General Hospital (SKH). At the same institution, he also started the wrist arthroscopic service, including the technique of arthroscopic bone grafting for scaphoid fracture non-unions.
His clinical interests include hand trauma and wrist injuries. In his practice, he also treats high-demand athletes with hand injuries. This work includes collaborating with occupational hand therapists for conditioning to help prevent future injuries.
Dr Jackson completed his basic medical degree in Singapore in 2006. Specialist training in hand surgery was completed in Singapore in 2016. In 2018, he spent a year furthering his training at Wrightington Hospital (United Kingdom) under the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Training Fellowship (2018).
Prior to private practice, Dr Jackson was Consultant and Head of Hand Surgery at Sengkang General Hospital. He is also a Visiting Consultant in the Department of Hand and Reconstructive Medicine at Singapore General Hospital. In addition, he is a Visiting Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Jackson is a Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. His teaching appointments include LKC School of Medicine Adjunct Teaching Faculty and Physician Faculty - Hand Residency Program. His service has been recognised with the SingHealth Star Award, Singapore Health Quality Service Award, and SingHealth Service with a Heart Award.
Dr Jackson is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
