Dr Jane Tan Jye Yng is a Colorectal & General Surgeon currently practising at Nexus Surgical with clinics on Orchard, Novena, and Thomson Road.

She subspecialises in colorectal surgery and has a clinical interest in colorectal cancer, benign colorectal diseases, complex perianal disorders (including anal fissure, anal fistula, and haemorrhoids), as well as functional bowel conditions. She also manages gallstones and hernia, and performs colonoscopy and gastroscopy.

Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997. She obtained her postgraduate surgical qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000 and a Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore in 2001. In 2005, she was certified as a Specialist in General Surgery by the Specialist Accreditation Board of Singapore. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2007. In the same year as her specialist certification, she was awarded the Ministry of Health HMDP (Health Manpower Development Programme) scholarship to pursue a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Tan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She is actively involved in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates. Her academic work also includes participation in clinical and laboratory studies. She has won research awards, published in international journals, and spoken at local and international surgical meetings.
