Dr Jerry Goo Tiong Thye is a Senior Consultant Breast and General Surgeon currently practising at Alliance Specialist Group (Breast and General Surgery), with a clinic located in Napier.

With over 20 years of experience, he provides surgical care for both non-cancerous and cancerous breast conditions. Dr Goo focuses on oncoplastic breast surgery and offers procedures such as oncoplastic mammoplasty and minimally invasive laparoscopic (keyhole) mastectomy, as well as breast reconstruction. He’s also skilled in a wide range of general surgical procedures, including endoscopy, gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, and the management of complex gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr Goo graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Medical School and then went on to complete his general surgery training programme in Singapore. He pursued further training at the renowned Westmead Breast Cancer Institute and Westmead Trauma Centre in Australia.

Prior to entering private practice, Dr Goo served as Head of the Department of General Surgery and Head of the Breast Service at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). In these leadership roles, he oversaw breast cancer services, performed a full range of oncoplastic and reconstructive procedures and contributed to the development of the Emergency Surgery and Trauma and Breast Service at KTPH.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Goo is actively involved in medical education and research. He is an Associate Adjunct Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications. His work in oncoplastic breast surgery has been featured on national media, and he has been recognised with awards such as the Service Champion Award and the Commendation Medal (COVID-19).
