Dr Jonathan Foo Shuo Min is the Medical Director and Senior Consultant General Surgeon currently serving at The Aeden Surgeons in Singapore.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, and more than a decade practising as a specialist, Dr Foo has focused his practice on colorectal and general surgery. Following his training in the United Kingdom, he introduced Transanal Total Mesorectal Excision (TaTME) and Indocyanine Green (ICG) fluorescence imaging to Singapore.

He treats cancer and non-cancerous conditions of the colon and rectum and performs advanced endoscopic, open, minimally invasive, robotic, and laparoscopic surgery. He also treats conditions of the anal region, including haemorrhoids (piles), anal abscesses, anal fistulas, constipation, and incontinence. His scope also extends to gallstones, pilonidal disease, hernias, and diastasis recti. Additionally, he performs hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, and laser surgery.

Dr Foo graduated from the National University of Singapore. He completed his advanced surgical training at National University Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In 2012, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd). In the same year, he was awarded the Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Scholarship. Under this scholarship, he spent a year with Professor Amjad Parvaiz at the Minimally Invasive Colorectal Unit in Portsmouth, UK.

Prior to private practice, Dr Foo served at Jurong Health Campus (NUHS) in the Division of Colorectal Surgery. He also served as Director of the Surgical Skills Centre, where he trained surgeons in advanced laparoscopic and proctology techniques.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Foo has contributed to surgical education through teaching and academic activity. During his time in Portsmouth, he served as a proctor at colorectal courses in the UK, Europe and Russia. He is also regularly invited to present at local and international conferences and has performed live surgical demonstrations overseas. In addition, he remains active through scientific publications and book chapters in colorectal disease and complex hernia repair.
