Dr Jonathan Teh Yi Hui is a Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Asian Alliance Radiation & Oncology (AARO), with clinics in Bukit Timah, Farrer Park, Napier, Thomson Road, Orchard, and Novena. Dr Teh is also the Medical Director of the Centre for Stereotactic Radiosurgery (CSR), a radiotherapy centre operated by AARO in Bukit Timah.
Dr Teh has over 20 years of clinical experience in general radiation oncology. His clinical interests include the treatment of genitourinary cancers (prostate, kidney, bladder), head and neck cancers (nasopharynx, oral cavity, throat), gastrointestinal cancers (upper gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, colorectal), sarcoma, and paediatric cancers.
He is dual-trained in chemotherapy and radiotherapy and is proficient in a wide range of radiation techniques, including 3D conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). He also utilises stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for treating both primary and metastatic tumours.
Dr Teh graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002 and commenced specialist training in radiation oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) in 2006. He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Award in 2009 and trained as an Honorary Clinical Fellow at University College Hospital London, focusing on sarcoma and clinical trials. He received his Fellowship in Clinical Oncology from the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) in 2011.
Prior to entering private practice, Dr Teh was a consultant radiation oncologist at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) from 2011 to 2017. He was also a member of the NCCS Blood Transfusion Committee from 2012 to 2017, receiving the SingHealth Long Service Award in recognition of his decade of service to patient care.
He has published his academic work in journals such as the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer and has served as a peer reviewer for Radiotherapy and Oncology and the British Journal of Radiology. This research has been presented at international conferences in North America, Europe and Asia.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Teh is involved in education and training. He has taught medical students, junior doctors, radiation therapists and nurses, and served as an examiner for the Graduate Diploma in Radiation Oncology conferred by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, in 2013.
