Dr Jong Sze Chin is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery Partners, with clinics located in Napier and Thomson Road.
She provides rehabilitation care for patients with conditions affecting mobility and bodily function, including stroke, brain, and spinal cord injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, sports-related injuries, and cancer-related impairments. Her clinical interests include non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, prolotherapy, dry needling, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, and intrathecal baclofen pump management, with particular experience in managing spasticity and complex neuro-rehabilitation needs.
Dr Jong holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) and a Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine (GDSM). She is formally trained in Rehabilitation Medicine and remains actively engaged in continuing professional development.
Prior to entering private practice, Dr Jong served as a Consultant across several institutions within the National University Health System (NUHS), including National University Hospital, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. In addition to her role as Clinical Lead for the Intrathecal Baclofen Pump Service at NUH, she chaired the rehabilitation equipment workgroup at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Jong is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a Clinical Teacher at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. She previously served as Site Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Senior Residency Programme at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and has received multiple teaching awards, including the Good Teacher Award. She continues to contribute to residency training through leadership and mentoring roles.
Dr Jong is also actively involved in public and professional service. She is a member of the Singapore Cancer Society and the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM), where she serves as Vice Chair of the World Youth Task Force and as a Singapore Ambassador. Her research interests include stroke rehabilitation, cancer survivorship and neuroimmunology. She has published work in medical journals and presented at international conferences.
