Dr Lim Sue Zann is a Senior Consultant and Breast Surgeon currently practising at Solis Breast Care & Surgery Centre, with clinics located in Orchard and Novena.
She has a special interest in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, as well as minimally invasive breast procedures, with a focus on keyhole mastectomy. Dr Lim is experienced in the full spectrum of breast surgery, including breast-conserving surgery, minimally invasive mastectomy, partial breast reconstruction, and reduction mammoplasty.
Dr Lim graduated with honours from the University of Malaya in 2008 and went on to obtain her Master of Medicine in Surgery from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2017 and is registered as a specialist in general surgery. In 2019, she completed the Advanced Breast Surgery Fellowship at Singapore General Hospital, training in both oncological and reconstructive techniques. She furthered her expertise through surgical training at Asan Medical Center, South Korea, in minimally invasive breast surgery (2022) and at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, in advanced oncoplastic techniques (2023).
Before joining private practice, Dr Lim was a Senior Consultant at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre, Singapore General Hospital, and the National Cancer Centre Singapore. She contributed to multidisciplinary breast cancer care, advancement of surgical techniques, and the mentoring of surgical trainees.
Other than clinical work, Dr Lim is actively involved in medical education. She serves as Associate Programme Director of the General Surgery Residency at SingHealth, was appointed Physician Faculty Member in 2018, and is also an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. She has received several accolades, including the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (2013), the Singapore Health Quality Service Gold Award (2025), and the Singapore General Hospital Service with a Heart Award (2015, 2024).
Her research interests include the de-escalation of axillary treatment in breast cancer, breast sarcoma, phyllodes tumours, and expanding the use of breast-conserving surgery. She has authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications, presented at international conferences, and led a Singapore General Hospital-funded study on breast sarcomas and phyllodes tumours.
Dr Lim is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
