Dr Reyaz Singaporewalla is a Senior Consultant Surgeon specialising in general and endocrine-head & neck surgery. He is the Medical Director at ACE Specialist Surgery and Endoscopy, with clinics in Novena and Napier.
With over 25 years of clinical experience, his clinical interests include minimally invasive endocrine surgery and laparoscopic adrenal procedures. He is experienced in managing thyroid nodules and cysts (including ultrasound-guided biopsy and aspiration), parathyroid disorders, adrenal tumours, hernia repair, gallbladder conditions, and gastrointestinal disorders. He also performs diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr Singaporewalla obtained his medical degree and a postgraduate Master’s degree in General Surgery from the University of Mumbai. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and earned his Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in General Surgery the following year. He subsequently completed a Head and Neck Surgery Fellowship at the Tata Memorial Cancer Centre and received a Master of Medicine in Surgery from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005. Awarded a Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Fellowship by Singapore’s Ministry of Health, he underwent advanced training in endocrine, laparoscopic, and breast surgery in Germany and the UK.
Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Singaporewalla founded the Endocrine-Head & Neck Surgical Service at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) in 2011 and served as Deputy Head of the Department of Surgery from 2019 to 2020.
He helped develop calcium management protocols after thyroid and parathyroid surgery, contributed to multidisciplinary pathways for adrenal tumour surgery, and has published over 30 research articles.
He has also served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU), where he was the undergraduate teaching lead for Year 3 medical students.
Dr Singaporewalla is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
