Dr Wang Lushun is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Arete Orthopaedic Centre, with clinic locations at Orchard and Thomson Road.
With over 18 years of experience, Dr Wang subspecialises in hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as sports soft tissue reconstruction. His clinical expertise include minimally invasive and joint preservation techniques, such as robotic knee replacement surgery and hip replacements. He also manages complex revision surgeries and conditions affecting the foot, ankle, shoulder, hand and wrist.
Dr Wang graduated from the National University of Singapore and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. He completed two clinical fellowships, at Wrightington Hospital in the United Kingdom (Sir John Charnley Arthroplasty and Sports Reconstruction Fellowship), and at Croix-Rousse University Hospital in Lyon, France, a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence and an ISAKOS-ESSKA accredited centre.
Dr Wang graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore. He went on to obtain the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS), followed by a Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery (MMed Ortho) in Singapore. He later attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedics (FRCS Ortho). Dr Wang completed two clinical fellowships, at Wrightington Hospital in the UK and at Croix-Rousse University Hospital in Lyon, France.
Before entering private practice, Dr Wang was the Head of the Hip and Knee Division at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), where he led value-based care initiatives recognised for excellence in patient outcomes and enhanced recovery protocols. He continues to serve as a Visiting Consultant at NTFGH.
Dr Wang also plays an active role in postgraduate medical education. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore, a core faculty member of the NUHS Orthopaedic Residency Programme, and serves on the National Residency Advisory Committee for Orthopaedics. He has also contributed as an examiner and FRCS exam convenor.
Dr Wang is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
