Dr Garvi Jagdishchandra Pandya is a specialist in Internal Medicine currently practising at HMI Medical Centre, located in Farrer Park.
She provides holistic care for adult and elderly patients and manages a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Her subspeciality interest is in sleep medicine, where she manages the full spectrum of sleep disorders. Dr Pandya’s clinical services include sleep study scoring and interpretation, raw data analysis, sleep study reporting, and specialised assessments such as non-invasive ventilation (NIV) titration. She cares for patients with obstructive and central sleep apnoea, insomnia, parasomnias, periodic limb movement disorders and other complex sleep-related conditions.
Dr Pandya completed her undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in India and later attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). She subsequently underwent specialist training in Advanced Internal Medicine in Singapore and obtained a Master of Medicine in Sleep Medicine from the University of Sydney. Her additional qualifications include the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification (under the MOH collaboration programme), MRCP (Acute Medicine), and Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS).
Before entering private practice, Dr Pandya trained extensively in Internal Medicine and Advanced Internal Medicine, where she gained experience caring for patients with complex and multiple chronic conditions. Since 2017, she has been running an independent sleep clinic, where she conducts detailed assessments, interprets raw sleep study data and prepares comprehensive diagnostic reports for a wide range of sleep disorders.
Other than clinical practice, Dr Pandya is actively involved in professional and academic work. She serves as Secretary of the Singapore Sleep Society, contributing to administrative duties and supporting the development of sleep medicine in Singapore. She is also an Assistant Professor at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, where she has received teaching awards including Outstanding Tutor (2019) and Good Interactive and Didactic Teacher (2022). In her previous role as a patient safety officer for five years, she received recognition for her work on a right-siting project.
Dr Pandya is accredited to perform medical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
