Dr Seng Chusheng

Dr Seng Chusheng is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon currently practising at Axis Orthopaedic Centre, with clinics in Novena and Telok Kurau Road.

Throughout his career, Dr Seng has performed over a thousand surgeries and is experienced in minimally invasive hallux valgus (bunion) correction.

Dr Seng subspecialises in foot and ankle surgery with clinical expertise covering sports injuries, orthopaedic trauma, and degenerative joint conditions affecting the foot, ankle, hip, and knee. Additionally, he also performs keyhole ligament reconstruction, arthroscopic ankle fusion, and complex fracture fixation of the lower limb.

Dr Seng graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and later obtained his Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthopaedics and Trauma). He completed his subspecialty training in Geneva, Switzerland, at the Assal Centre, focusing on deformity correction and minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery.

Before entering private practice, Dr Seng served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he continues to be a Visiting Consultant. His contributions to patient care were recognised with the SingHealth Service With A Heart Award.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Seng remains active in academic and research pursuits. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at leading international meetings, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). His research efforts were recognised through the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Travelling Fellowship and a nomination for SGH’s Young Investigator Award.

Dr Seng is accredited to perform orthopaedic surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
