Dr Tan Qing Ting is a Senior Consultant Breast Surgeon currently practising at TEN Surgery Group in Napier.

With 10 years of experience as a breast surgeon, Dr Tan pioneered minimally invasive breast surgery at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, performing the hospital's first endoscopic mastectomy, providing patients with more options for less invasive surgery.

Dr Tan's practice covers oncoplastic and minimally invasive breast surgery. She treats patients with benign and malignant breast conditions, including breast lumps, nipple discharge, mastitis, breast abscesses, hereditary breast cancer syndromes, high-risk breast lesions, and breast cancer.

Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Following specialist surgical training in Singapore General Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, she obtained fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She was also awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) by the Ministry of Health to undergo advanced subspecialty training in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery at the Nottingham Breast Institute in the United Kingdom. Further training and observerships at The Royal Marsden Hospital (United Kingdom), National Cancer Center (Korea), Kameda Medical Center, and Nakagami Hospital broadened her exposure to contemporary breast surgery practice.

Prior to entering private practice, Dr Tan served as a specialist breast surgeon at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital for 10 years. Alongside this role, she was Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Tan collaborated with the Menopause Clinic, Reproductive Medicine Clinic, and Sexual Health Clinic to introduce services for breast cancer patients that focused on bone health, fertility preservation, and sexual well-being.

Dr Tan is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
