Physician Seah Ai Wei is Head of Thomson Chinese Medicine and a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physician at Thomson Chinese Medicine in United Square, Singapore.
Physician Seah’s journey in TCM began with a personal experience that shaped her interest and passion for the field. Reflecting on this experience, she shared: “I first visited a TCM physician in my early 20s when I fell ill for an extended period, which was a new experience for me. Upon a relative’s recommendation, I decided to seek treatment at a TCM clinic. To my surprise, within days of taking Chinese medicine, I experienced improvement in my health. This encounter ignited my interest and passion for TCM, and since then, I have remained dedicated to this field without looking back.”
Physician Seah practises Traditional Chinese Medicine, with subspecialty interests in fertility, women’s health and general health. She has a special interest in using acupuncture and Chinese medicine to support women with fertility concerns and postpartum recovery. Other clinical interests include gastrointestinal health and mental wellness.
Physician Seah holds a Bachelor of TCM from Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Before entering private practice, she worked alongside experienced doctors at Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of TCM, gaining exposure across various disciplines including internal medicine, gastroenterology, gynaecology, oncology, respiratory medicine, dermatology and rheumatology.
Beyond clinical practice, Physician Seah has delivered numerous talks on fertility and maternity, providing guidance and support to expecting couples throughout their parenthood journeys.
