Signature Fish and Green Papaya Soup
Drinking hot soup before breastfeeding is known to help increase the nursing mother’s milk supply and helping to achieve the goal of total breastfeeding. Our Signature Fish and Green Papaya Soup which is served in the mid-morning to all mothers during their stay with us, is packed with protein, vitamins and minerals to provide a healthy and nutritious meal and to aid in production of milk for breastfeeding mothers. Takeaway of this delicious soup is also available at a nominal fee.
Visitors can choose to have their meals either at Delifrance or the Cafeteria, both conveniently located in the hospital lobby.
Complimentary Classes & Services
All inpatients and their spouses are welcomed to attend the complimentary hands-on Baby Bath Demonstration and Breastfeeding classes conducted by our parentcraft specialists on a daily basis, except on Sundays and Public Holidays. Please inform our nursing staff.
First Time Parents Programme
To help first-time parents with their parenthood journey, our nurses will ensure that they receive in-room training on essential baby care.
Visit from a lactation consultant
We understand the difficulties and challenges that new parents face, especially with breastfeeding. We encourage new mothers to achieve skin-to-skin contact with their babies right after delivery, in the birth room and when they room in with their babies in the ward. All patients will be visited once by a lactation consultant, who will support and assist them to breastfeed successfully and confidently. Subsequent visits are available on request, at a nominal fee.
Download Your Guide to Successful Breastfeeding Booklet for important tips to help parents understand breastfeeding basics.
Local television programmes and selected cable TV channels are available on the TV set in your room. An In-House Education Programme on childcare and breastfeeding that is both interesting and educational for first time parents is available on Channel 1. Please refer to the TV guide provided.
9:00am to 8:00pm daily
A maximum of four visitors are allowed at any one time during the visiting hours for each patient.
Visiting hours should be strictly observed in order for patients to get maximum rest for a speedy recovery. Patients occupying shared rooms should keep their visitors to two at any given time in order to avoid disturbing other patients.
Your spouse or a relative may accompany you overnight if you are occupying a private suite or single room. Companion accommodation is not available for two or four-bedded rooms.
For paediatric patients, one adult companion may accompany the child overnight. This applies to single, two-bedded and four-bedded rooms. Please refer to our Hospital Rates and Charges leaflet or consult our staff at the Patient Service Centre for charges on companion accommodation.
To request for companion accommodation, please approach any one of the ward nurses for assistance.
